I have a cousin living in Florida. Could he buy tickets for my kids from Michigan when we visit Disney world? Will he need to go the park with us if it is allowed for him to buy the tickets for my kids?

Hi Nurjannah and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I see that your trip is fast approaching! You will be enjoying your vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort in no time!

It’s very generous of your cousin to offer to purchase park tickets for your children! There are a few ways your cousin can purchase the Florida Resident Disney tickets or Florida Resident Discover Disney tickets. They can be purchased online and picked up at will call or they can be purchased at any of the four theme park ticket windows. Here’s the catch, your cousin must be present and show Proof of Florida Residency to activate any discounted Florida Resident tickets for your children. He can do this at any theme park ticket window or at  Guest Services.

The good news is, once the tickets are activated, he would not need to be present any of the other days the tickets are valid. Though it would be great if he could join you at least one of the days! Maybe your family could treat him to dinner at one of the many Walt Disney World Resort restaurants to thank him for the tickets!

One of my favorite places to eat with my family is the Whispering Canyon Café at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort. When you go, ask your server for some ketchup, you’ll thank me later!

Nurjannah, I hope this information is helpful to you. Have a magical visit!
