My cousin lives in Wisconsin and I live in Jacksonville. On her way to Disney, she’s going to pick up my son and take him to Disney, too. Can my son use a Florida resident ticket since we live in Florida even though the adults he’s with are out of state?

    Hi Tom!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Your cousin sounds absolutely wonderful! How nice of her to pick up your son to take him along to Walt Disney World Resort. Your family is sure to have an incredible trip!

Florida Resident Disney tickets may be purchased online and picked up at will call, or they can be purchased at all four Park ticket windows. There is no price difference in a one day Theme Park pass between a Florida resident and a non-resident ticket. However, if the Theme Park ticket is for two days or longer, an adult 18 years of age or older must be present during the time the tickets are picked up and show proof of Florida Residency. Although there is an option to verify Florida residency when purchasing a ticket online, it is solely for the purchaser; meaning the purchaser must be present. If your son has a partially used Annual Pass that is valid for the season, then your son can come back with your cousin from out of state and continue using the ticket.

Tom, I hope your family has a magical vacation. We hope to see you around real soon!
