My cousin is getting married in November in Disney but wants my husband to marry them. We were wondering will he have to have a Florida license to preform the wedding?

Hello, Tammy, and welcome to planDisney! Congratulations to your cousin on the upcoming wedding. What an exciting time for your family!

As an ordained minister myself, I'm happy to help you with this inquiry. If your cousin is planning a Disney Fairy Tale Wedding, checking with their Disney Wedding Consultant would be a good first step. According to disneyweddings.com, "You are welcome to contact and arrange for the officiant of your choice." However, it does not list what state requirements there may be.

I did a little further research for officiating weddings in the state of Florida and, more specifically, in Orange County for you. I found ordained ministers in good standing are permitted to officiate weddings in Orange County. I would recommend contacting the Orange County Clerk of Courts for what documents, if any, are needed for your husband to officiate your cousin's wedding.

Have a magical day, Tammy, and please let the planDisney Panel know if we can assist you with any other questions before you visit Walt Disney World Resort

Wishing your cousin a Happily Ever After!
