Royal greetings, Kailyn!
A warm welcome to planDisney and thank you for bringing us a fantastic
Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question. It sounds like you're counting down the days until a wondrous wintertime trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth! I'm here to help you maximize the magic during your time in the theme park.
Kailyn, get ready to experience the splendor and merriment of Magic Kingdom Park during the
holiday season! This time of year is my family's favorite season to visit the Walt Disney World Resort due to the abundance of gorgeous festive decor and dazzling atmosphere in the theme parks and Disney Resort hotels. There are several third-party resources that help Guests prioritize attractions and create customized itineraries for their visits. However, I would encourage you to consider purchasing
Lightning Lane passes to maximize the number of attractions you can experience during your single-day trip! Lightning Lane Multi Pass allows Guests to pre-select up to three attraction return times beginning three days before their scheduled visit (or up to seven days before, for Disney Resort hotel Guests). Both Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass enable Guests to access attractions via their Lightning Lane entrances, saving them precious time in the theme parks.
Another great option available to you that'll help you minimize wait times is virtual queue, Kailyn. At the time of writing, Guests are able to enter a
virtual queue to experience Tiana's Bayou Adventure using the
My Disney Experience mobile app. Just be sure you have your theme park admission linked to your profile in
My Disney Experience, and connect with the rest of your travel party as
Family & Friends ahead of time. (I recommend completing these tasks at least four or more days before your visit, so that you can include everyone in your party when you purchase Lightning Lane passes!)
Kailyn, I'm happy to share that, at the time of writing, the Walt Disney World Resort does still accept cash for dining and merchandise purchases made in-person. Contactless payment is also available and is encouraged at many locations. You could link an eligible payment method in the My Disney Experience mobile app for use with mobile orders and
Merchandise Mobile Checkout. I also usually bring a
Disney Gift Card to help fund purchases, as these are located at almost all shops and restaurants throughout the Walt Disney World Resort!
I hope you've found these details helpful, but if you have additional questions, please feel free to revisit us right here at
planDisney, Kailyn! I'm wishing you a joy-filled vacation to The Most Magical Place on Earth.
Warm wishes,
Lauren
