Hey there, Judy!
Welcome to planDisney. We're excited you're getting ready to dive into your next
Walt Disney World Resort vacation! Your arrival is just days away. Are you counting down the minutes!? I'm here to help you make a splash during your upcoming trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth.
Judy, if you're anything like me, you love relaxing at your Disney Resort hotel's pool - and maybe even the occasional water slide ride!? As someone who visits from chilly Michigan, it's never really "too cold" to swim in Florida, in my own personal opinion. (This is especially true since most of the Disney Resort hotel pools are heated to around 82°F all year round!) However, when the daytime temperatures are notably chilly (or when it's particularly windy), it's possible that some water-based recreational offerings may not be available. I chatted with a friendly Cast Member who shared that when temperatures are forecasted to be below approximately 70°F during the day, it's possible that the
Disney water parks may not be available. I recommend checking the
My Disney Experience mobile app in the morning for the most up-to-date information regarding water park availability! Alternatively, a helpful Cast Member at your Resort hotel's
Front Desk should be able to assist you.
If you do happen to encounter chillier weather during your upcoming trip, consider checking out the fantastic miniature golf courses on property, Judy! My family loves
Winter Summerland (near Blizzard Beach water park), but
Fantasia Gardens and Fairways is also available (near Disney's BoardWalk). These are usually open even in colder conditions!
I hope you've found this information helpful, Judy, and I'm thinking sunny thoughts for your upcoming trip! I hope you'll be able to enjoy all of the fun outdoor recreational offerings the Walt Disney World Resort has to offer during your stay. If you have any additional questions before or during your vacation, you're welcome to revisit us right here at
planDisney anytime! We're all ears.
See ya real soon,
Lauren
