Hi Moms! We are counting the days until our first Disney cruise in July. What size ID holder is best for holding our Key to the World? Thanks for your help.

    Welcome aboard, Michelle!

Now that it's June, you must be getting so excited to set sail in just a few short weeks with Disney Cruise Line! As a first time cruiser with Captain Mickey and his crew, you have so many magical surprises in store! I can't wait for you to experience them all!

As you arrive at the port to board the ship, you'll go through security with your carry-on bags, then check in and receive your boarding number as well as your Key To The World Cards. These cards act as your entrance ticket on and off of the ship at each port, your stateroom key and your onboard charge card. So, it's a good idea to keep it with you each time you leave your stateroom. Many guests choose to wear lanyards with a plastic I.D. case on the end so they can always have their Key To The World Card handy. Guests who have sailed with Disney before (Castaway Club Members) will receive a Disney Cruise Line lanyard as they check in at the port. However, first time cruisers will not, so I'm glad you're already researching the best lanyard to bring along. Just as a side note, there are really cute Disney Cruise Line themed lanyards for sale in the Gift Shops onboard, so if you don't see one you like prior to the cruise, just purchase one onboard that first night when the shops open and you'll be all set.

The Key To The World Card is credit card sized, so any lanyard that has a spot for an I.D. the size of a license or credit card will be the perfect fit.

I hope that helps as you count down the last few days before heading out to sea! Please stop back again if we can help with any other questions before the big sail date, Michelle! We're happy to help!
