Welcome to planDisney, Mana! I'm excited to see that you're planning a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort and looking to make some magical memories with a
character dining experience! This is one of the best ways to spend time with some of your favorite Disney pals without waiting in line to see them, plus you get a delicious meal and a chance to relax and reconnect with your family all at once!
Mana, I'm sorry to hear that you haven't been able to get an
advance dining reservation for
The Crystal Palace. This meal features visits from Winnie the Pooh and all of his Hundred-Acre Woods friends and is sure to fill the rumbly in your tummy with a side of hugs and laughs. The good news is that there's still a chance that you might be able to dine at this restaurant, as Eeyore reminds us, "It never hurts to keep looking for sunshine!"
Here are two options I recommend to help you try to secure a table:
- Keep checking for availability in the My Disney Experience mobile app in the days leading up to your visit and even the morning of your visit! As plans shift and other guests modify existing reservations, guests often find last-minute reservations for many popular dining establishments. I've had success grabbing day-of dining at Topolino's Terrace and Garden Grill on recent visits for character meals.
- Mobile Dine Walk-Up Availability is another option where guests can join a walk-up list for certain restaurants when there is unexpected availability. To do so, you can check if the walk-up list is available directly in the My Disney Experience mobile app and join the list if so; you don't even need to visit the restaurant in person!
- Of course, you are welcome to stop by the host stand to inquire about same-day dining options as well. Early Theme Park Entry will usually allow you into the park about an hour before standard opening time, so it's likely to be less busy at the restaurant and they could possibly accommodate you or offer you a return reservation time.
Mana, I hope this helps! If you aren't able to secure your reservation, you can still pay a visit to Winnie the Pooh and his pal Tigger in Fantasyland right next to
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, where they meet with guests daily. If you have any other questions we can help with before your visit, come back to
planDisney and let us know!
