I couldn't get the Fantasmic Dining Pkg. during our stay:Aug.18-25. I did get a 6:30 dinner ressie on Aug 18 at H&V w/out the Pkg. Do you think we'll have enough time to eat and then wait in line for Fantasmic? How far is H&V from the Fantasmic are

    Kathleen,

Fantasmic! is at 9:00 pm that night. Hollywood and Vine is only about a 5-10 minute walk away, at most.

So if your dinner takes, let's say, an hour, that has you leaving for the show at 7:30 pm. If you are getting in line for the Fantasmic! show right away, you should definitely be able to get in line early enough to get a seat. But don't let the 1 1/2 hour early arrival lull you into over confidence. In August this attraction is popular, so go check out the line right away to be sure you are OK.

Here is the silver lining. You will probably be getting a better seat for the show than if you had gotten the dinner package. Why? The reserved seating is not the best seats in the house, and you might be there early enough to get the pick of the seating.

My suggestion is to get a seat to the right or left of center, and about 1/3 to mid-way up from the front of the show. This gives you the best possible vantage point of all you would want to see.

Have a magical (and delicious) vacation!
