Are cots available at OKW? Our room can fit all of us with the sleeper sofas but would rather the kids sleep in the bedroom & not share a bed since it always ends up with squabbling when they sleep in the same bed.

Hi, Jennifer, and thank you so much for your question.

For safety and fire code reasons, cots are not an option at Disney's Old Key West Villas. You don't say how many are in your party, but maybe it helps to know that there are two pull out options in the villas - a double bed sleep sofa and a twin sized chair. That allows you to put kids in two separate beds.

One thing that has worked out well for my family in the past is to bring an air mattress.  Our nickname for our oldest daughter is "Scooch" - born out of the many times someone sharing a bed with her on vacation had to tell her to scooch over. We learned as our two younger daughters got older, they often squabbled over having to sleep with each other, but no one wanted to sleep with Scooch. That's when I started bringing an air mattress. There are many compact ones that are easy to inflate and deflate for storage, and it has saved our vacation sanity many times.

Another advantage to the Disney Vacation Club Resorts is the variety of sizes. You can always try to bump up to the next size if you are short on room with a growing family.

I hope you have a wonderful trip Home, Jennifer. Thanks for your question!
