Hello there, and welcome to planDisney! Thanks for visiting us with your question today.
Port Orleans Riverside is such a beautiful resort. My husband and I stayed here in a Royal Guest Room... kids-free... as a special treat for our 10th wedding anniversary! We
rented a surrey bike to explore all the beautiful waterways, and it was such a relaxing and fun experience. I love that you can cruise the Sassagoula River on a complementary Disney water taxi to get to Disney Springs. And you can't miss swinging by the sister resort French Quarter for some of those
delicious beignets from Scat Cat's Club!
While Disney Resorts do offer
providing a pack-and-play in your room upon request for little Mouseketeers, they can not provide a cot or rollaway bed. I double-checked with a Cast Member, and they explained this was for safety reasons. Room occupancy limitations at all Walt Disney World Resort hotels are governed by Florida Fire and Safety Codes. Disney's Port Orleans Riverside King Room has a room occupancy of 2 guests, which may not be exceeded. The size and layout of the room does not allow adequate space for an additional bed, which could reduce fire access and egress.
Perhaps you could consider another
Port Orleans Resort room type that sleeps additional guests? Many rooms at this resort sleep 4 with two queen beds, and a few even sleep 5 guests. Hopefully one of these alternative options would work for you.
Please feel free to visit us again at planDisney with any additional questions you may have. We're always happy to help!
