    How much does it cost to do a proposal at Disneyland? what areas of the park do you recommend with less foot traffic? Does cast members need to be involved?

    Thanks so much for submitting your question to us! As someone who originally proposed at the Disneyland Resort, your question made me really happy to see. I can't think of a more romantic and magical location to start your life journey for two Disney lovers who've found their Happily Ever After!

    I'm happy to report that you don't have to obtain permission from Disney to propose to your significant other and Cast Members don't have to be involved at all (but I'm sure they'll want to be so they can share in your happiness!). There's no fee involved, so the cost of your proposal will be up to you with how elaborate you want to go! If you want to go all out, Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings & Honeymoons will make that Magic Moment happen for you and your partner! 

    Most Guests will plan out their own proposal and pop the question when the moment feels right. If you want a quiet area with little traffic, here are my recommendations:

    • Snow White's Grotto, just to the right of Sleeping Beauty Castle. Generally quiet and secluded.
    • Anywhere on Pirate's Lair on Tom Sawyer Island.
    • On board the Storybook Land Canal Boats. It's an especially romantic ride at night. 
    • This isn't in the Parks, but there's a beautiful Gazebo in the Rose Court Garden of the Disneyland Hotel where weddings are sometimes held. Very secluded and romantic. 

    I hope that these suggestions help you to brainstorm and come up with an epic proposal story! If you can secretly let a nearby Cast Member know your plans, I'm sure they'll do everything in their power to make it as magical as possible for you! Don't forget to grab a picture from a Disney PhotoPass photographer to commemorate your special time and be sure to sport a complimentary "Happily Ever After" celebratory pin!
