Hello! The cost for Micky’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is more than we want to spend. Are there other notable activities (free or more affordable) for kids on Halloween night?

Hello there, Trish! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks for taking the time to stop by and ask your Walt Disney World Resort vacation question!

Halloween is probably my most favorite time of year to visit Walt Disney World Resort! There are so many fun activities and events to do during this season! In addition, the weather in Central Florida is gorgeous throughout the month of October.

As you’ve mentioned, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is the huge, headlining event that takes place at Magic Kingdom. This special event invites Guests into the park for an evening of not-so-spooky entertainment, eats, and, of course, trick-or-treating! I highly recommend this event for any Guests that are seeking to experience Magic Kingdom in a whole new way!

However, there are many different ways to get into the spirit of the season without attending Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! There will be many different special snacks throughout Walt Disney World Resort that celebrate Halloween. Some of these will be exclusive to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party but many of them are available during normal operating hours as well!

In addition, all Disney Resort hotels host many different activities and even Disney Character interactions on Halloween night. Some of these offerings do cost extra but there are also some activities that are complimentary for Guests staying at the Disney Resort hotel. Some activities I’ve seen in the past include face painting, cupcake decorating, trick-or-treating, and more!

I hope you and your family have a haunted, good time celebrating Halloween at Walt Disney World Resort!
