Hello there Russ and a very warm Canadian welcome to planDisney!
Whenever we head down to the warmer weather in Florida, we like to spend our days relaxing more and worrying less; this even extends to relying on
Disney PhotoPass Service to capture so many fun moments over the course of our Walt Disney World Resort vacation.
You can easily check out the pricing options available to you using the
My Disney Experience Mobile App and selecting Photos from the main menu. We recently took photos in front of Cinderella Castle with a PhotoPass photographer and were interested in the cost to download them for our personal use.
Upon choosing a photo and selecting "Buy My Photos", the My Disney Experience mobile app will present you with the option to
purchase Memory Maker in one of two ways:
- Downloading All Your Vacation Photos (captured during a 30-day window)
- Your Photos From One Day (from 6:00 a.m. ET on the date of activation through 5:59 a.m. ET the following day)
At the present time, it appears that purchasing this early and prior to your vacation may be a great way to save some money with an Advance Purchase. Though pricing may always be subject to change, you might expect a Memory Maker One Day package to cost within the $100 CAD range.
You might also be interested to find out that it is possible to purchase individual prints of photos captured via Disney PhotoPass service by selecting "Buy Photo Gifts" on the My Disney Experience mobile app instead. When I looked into it more, I discovered that this will link you out to a third-party EZ Prints website which allows you to directly upload Disney PhotoPass photos and print them out in a variety of sizes. From my research it appears that the least expensive prints cost less than $20 individually, though
I recommend that you confirm the pricing closer to when you intend to have your photos taken in order to have a more accurate idea. While you're at at, it's also a great idea to make sure that you're aware of the photo
Expiration Policy to avoid losing any shots as they expire!
I hope I was able to bestow upon you some helpful Princely knowledge about your future photo purchases; please feel free to
come back to planDisney any time to ask me about other Walt Disney World Resort topics that may help you plan ahead!
Wishing you some photogenic fun on your future adventure,
Prince
