Ahoy there, Samina!
We're so glad you cruised over to planDisney with your question. You must be looking forward to a vacation with Captain Mickey and the gang real soon. I can't think of a better way to enjoy some time away than aboard
Disney Cruise Line.
There are a couple of options to make a phone call when you are sailing on your high-seas adventure. My first recommendation is to check with your cell phone provider to see what options they offer for using your phone for texting, calling, and internet while onboard. I know that AT&T and Verizon both have day or travel passes that can be added to your phone line, and the charge will appear on your bill. Currently, Disney Cruise Line offers
two options for wireless internet access. You can pay for the length of the cruise, or just purchase it by the day, so pricing varies depending on how long you need access. Pricing is always subject to change, but right now the two internet packages start at either $26 per day for basic and $42 a day for internet + streaming. There is a discount if you purchase a package for the entire length of your cruise, or for multiple devices. If you sign up for one of the wireless internet options, you will be able to call over Wi-Fi or use FaceTime or the WhatsApp app.
Samina, to sign up for an internet package, use the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app once you connect, either in the cruise terminal or on the ship. Be sure to download the app before arriving at the cruise port. You will find "Connect to the Internet" under "More" from the home screen. You'll be able to register for an account and view the current pricing and what it includes before completing the purchase. The internet charges will be applied to your stateroom account.
Thank you for your question, Samina. Please let us know if you have any others before you set sail.
