Ahoy there, Laura!
Welcome back to planDisney! Your crew is in for a magical day when your Disney Cruise Line ship docks at
Disney Castaway Cay. There's so much to enjoy on the island, and you'll be surrounded by lush greenery, gorgeous palm trees, tropical flowers, and the prettiest shade of turquoise water. I always love how my photos turn out with such beautiful scenery as the backdrop. And the ship always looks so spectacular backed into the pier for more amazing photos!
The very sought-after cabanas on Disney Castaway Cay come equipped with a mini fridge stocked with beverages, towels, sunscreen, and face cloths. Also, the
Disney Castaway Cay Getaway package comes with your rental, and it includes a 1-hour bike rental (all sizes of bikes available), float and/or inner tubes, and snorkeling gear. There's seating inside the cabana for a break from the sun, and chairs outside to enjoy the beautiful views. You'll also have access to a hammock and a shower to rinse off the salt water.
Laura, there are three areas for cabanas on Castaway Cay, and current pricing for families (up to six Guests) is $935.00. The Grand Family Cabanas (up to 10 Guests) can range from around $1200 to $1400. Serenity Bay, the adult-only beach, offers cabanas (up to four Guests) for $555. Any additional Guests over the allowed capacity will be charged $56.00 per person. The standard-sized cabanas can accommodate up to 10 Guests, while the grand-sized cabanas can accommodate up to 16 Guests, with the additional per-person fee mentioned above. Pricing for the cabanas is always subject to change. Any Guests 2 and under are free.
With the cabanas being so popular, they are challenging to reserve when your
booking window opens, and your cruise is paid in full. Concierge-level Guests will have access to booking first, followed by Pearl, Platinum, Gold, Silver Castaway Club members, and finally new cruisers. If you don't have any luck, you can continue to check online on the
Disney Cruise Line website up to three days before you cast off on your cruise. Once onboard, you can check with
Guest Services for availability.
Thank you for sending in another question, Laura. Please stop by again as you continue to plan for your November sailing with Disney Cruise Line.
