Are coolers allowed in AK specifically? I've read no straw, glass, etc, but some sites say no coolers allowed at all in Animal Kingdom?!? Is this true? Thanks!

    Dear Nina,

Thank you so much for reaching out to us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question about bringing coolers into Disney's Animal Kingdom.

In general, hard-sided coolers aren't the ideal items to bring into the Walt Disney World Resort because you have to store them either in your parked car or in small lockers located near the entrances of the parks. For Disney's Animal Kingdom, you are correct that hard-sided coolers are not allowed at all. A small soft-sided lunchbox cooler or soft backpack that has a cooler area isn't a problem, though you still can't bring glass containers or anything else hazardous. If you have a medical reason for a hard-sided cooler, those can travel into Disney's Animal Kingdom, but they are still quite restricted.

It can be challenging to stay cool on those hot Orlando days, and my friend Allison V. answered a question about this recently and her answer was awesome!

Hope that helps with your magical planning!
