Where can I take a cooking class at Disney World Orlando?

Bon appétit, Lisa, and welcome to planDisney! Before I jump into your question, I have a confession to make: I do not relish cooking, especially on vacation! But I appreciate the culinary arts and admire you for exploring them while you're at Walt Disney World Resort later this month. Let's put on our aprons and get started; maybe I'll be inspired!

One option is at Disney Springs where you can decorate a fabulous cake at Amorette's Patisserie. You'll learn the art of designing a Disney-themed dome cake in a 90-minute class. The best part is you get to choose your cake, and they'll package it up for you to take home. Or back to your resort; I'm sure I'd have to dig in immediately!

A few grown-up ways to create libations are also available. Sangria University at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort teaches guests about the history and varieties of sangria. Not only will you sample different types, but you'll have the opportunity to create your own sangria masterpiece!

And over at EPCOT, you can be a little more adventurous with the La Cava Experience at the Mexico Pavilion. You'll learn about regional culture and traditions while sampling a variety of tequilas.

Finally, you can book a tasting at Wine Bar George at Disney Springs. You can check the calendar to see if this experience is offered while you're here. Cheers!

You can book all of these experiences online up to 60 days in advance. If you don't see availability, my tip is to keep trying. Guests often change their plans, and I've had luck snagging reservations in the days leading up to my trip.

If you're hankering for a traditional cooking class, I recommend an online search in the Orlando area. I see a family-friendly class in nearby Celebration that might be fun!

Lisa, I hope your visit is as tasty as it is magical! Please stop by planDisney anytime.

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
