Are there any cookie options that are free of dairy, eggs and peanuts at Walt Disney World? Is vanilla Tofutti ice cream available at Walt Disney World? Do any restaurants or quick serve places offer vegan cheese options?

Happy dining and welcome to planDisney, Lori!

It’s so nice to meet you, and I’ll be more than happy to help you navigate your way with dining at Walt Disney World. While I’m not officially vegan, I often travel with my best friend who is. We usually end up sharing most meals and snacks, so I lean towards a vegan diet when traveling with her. It’s been fun, and I’ve even started bringing those options into my day-to-day life.

Let’s start with cookies! You can find a vegan gluten-free chocolate chip cookie at Summer House on the Lake at Disney Springs. I recommend double-checking with a chef at that location to make sure that it is also peanut-free. You can also find Cookie Fries at Beaches and Cream. The menu says that they are peanut-free, but again, I always recommend talking to a chef when ordering. Just so that you can ask any additional questions you may have regarding your allergies.

Toffuti is also offered at most ice cream stands and restaurants throughout Walt Disney World Resort. My son is dairy-free, so we usually end up all ordering this delicious alternative. At the top of my head, you can find it at Plaza Ice Cream Parlor, Hollywood Scoops, and Beaches and Cream to go along with your cookie fries. As always, you can also ask your server at any Table-Service location you dine at if they offer it at their location.

Vegan cheese is also spread across Walt Disney World Resort. I’ve been lucky enough to enjoy some of it on my pizza at Via Napoli. While it isn’t on the menu, you can mention your allergy to the server and once again have the opportunity to speak with a chef. I also recommend reading through this Plant-Based guide as you prepare for your visit. There are so many delicious meals and snacks you can enjoy throughout your trip. It's going to be wonderful!

Lori, I hope this helps you find just what you are looking for. If there’s anything else you need, ask away! Or if you need any additional assistance with dietary needs, please reach out to the special diets team. A Cast Member there will be more than happy to help answer any other questions you may have.

    Enjoy,
