Hey there, hi there, ho there, Kurt! You're as welcome as can be at planDisney.
You are going to LOVE the
Cabins at Fort Wilderness. The Resorts are my jam (we've stayed at almost every Disney Resort), and our stay at the Cabins is in my Top 5 of all-time best. It's so much fun with kids, too. The resort has everything and more to keep them occupied, so you will find yourself debating whether actually to go to the parks!
While all the cabins are fabulous, with kiddos, it would be most convenient to be close to the pool and a bus stop. Loop 2500 is the closest to both the
Wilderness Swimmin’ Pool and a bus stop, while loops 2700 and 2800 are closest to Outpost Depot, the main bus stop for Fort Wilderness. When you make your reservation, you can request a particular cabin loop, but remember that a request is just that, and does not guarantee a specific cabin.
Once you've arrived, I highly recommend renting a
golf cart to get around the resort. Honestly, the golf cart was my kiddos' favorite "attraction" during that visit! Also, my fellow panelist Matt has excellent recommendations about
horseback riding, which was also one of our favorite
activities at the campground!
If you have any other questions, you know where to find us. I wish you a magical vacation!
