Is the convenience of DCL bus worth the price (7 ppl)...... not dropping off a rent car, not dealing with luggage, onboard tv entertainment, etc? Is it better to rent car and not arrive with bus load of people? Or personal town car w/driver? Thank you!

Welcome back, Karen! When we fly in for our cruise vacation, we are so excited and just want to relax and get on that ship! Getting off the airplane and heading straight to the motorcoach, while Disney takes care of collecting and transporting our luggage is the best way to begin our adventure. It's even more fun when we stay at a Walt Disney World Resort the night before and take the transfers to the port straight from the resort!

I realize that the cost can add up when you have seven guests, and that lesser expensive options like renting a car can seem pretty nice. If cost is prohibitive, then by all means, rent a car to get your group to and from the port. However, if you're able to book the ground transfers, I promise it is the best way to transition from land to sea and back again, without the hassle of hauling your own luggage, transferring it to and from rental cars and shuttles to and from rental locations, along with kids who just want to go see Mickey!

Our vacation begins when we board the motorcoach, because, as you know, airport travel can be a hassle, so once we land and get on that bus, Disney takes care of all of the details, allowing us to relax, and begin the magic. The kids enjoy the Disney classic cartoons and the Disney Cruise Line videos that get them even more excited about the cruise as we make our way to the port. They're fully entertained during that hourlong ride to the port. Plus, there is magic in the air as we're with other guests who are so excited to begin their cruise too!

After the cruise, when real life begins again, it's so nice to have that extra time to allow Disney to drive us back to the airport. We get to stay in our little Disney bubble just a bit longer, and it makes the end of the cruise easier!

    Happy planning, Karen!
