Danielle,
Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!
There have been, at times, boats that travel directly between the modern marvel that is
Disney's Contemporary Resort and the rugged beauty of Fort Wilderness, but I checked a few days ago, and that is not running currently. You can certainly ask the resort desk if that has returned for your journey to the
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, but I would not expect that is has. But there is a route you can always rely on.
You can walk or monorail from the Contemporary around to the front of the Magic Kingdom Park. You don't have to enter the park, but directly in front of the park entrance is a dock where you can catch a boat over to Fort Wilderness. The return route is simply to reverse your trip. While there are other ways to get there, they are more involved, and typically will cost you money. They will also take longer, so I really recommend you stick to the route I recommend here. It is a fabulous journey, with great views of both Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake in route to your entertaining dinner show!

Have a Magical Vacation!
