I am contemplating a WDW Vacation for Mar. 2010. We would be traveling the week before Easter, which I understand is probably a busy time. How are the crowds that week compared to the summer months? Do you recommend the meal plans &which is best value

Hi, Diane!  I would say the week leading up to Easter Sunday is probably a little busier than some of the summer months, only because there are people who will choose the crowds over the dog days of summer.  Although, if I had to count people coming through the gates, it would be pretty close between that week and a week in say mid-July.

My family does not use the meal plan for two reasons.  The first reason is I have had gastric bypass surgery, so it's unusual for me to be able to eat a full meal on my own, let alone a meal with an appetizer or dessert.  The second reason is I have an eight year old who would rather eat an adult meal.  With the dining plan, she'd have to order from the children's menu, or I'd have to pay out of pocket for her, and if I'm going to do that, I might as well not have the meal plan.

On the flip side, the meal plan is a GREAT way to budget for food.  You'll know going in what your meals cost, and there won't be any surprises.  Plus, you have it all paid for before you arrive, so you don't have to worry about how much to bring or how much of your credit card is going to get eaten up.  That lets you plan way better for souvenirs!

My favorite value is Pop Century, but all of them are great.  The theming is some of the best anywhere on Walt Disney World property.  You don't say if you are traveling with children, but my two littler ones prefer All Star Movies.

    Have a great trip!
