Hello - Hello :) We are contemplating visiting WDW in September, 2014 {September 7-13} our family typically stays away from WDW during that time, due to all of the rain we hear about... is it really rainy during the month of September? Thanks much...

Hi Joy! Visiting Walt Disney World in September has some great perks! Because many children return to school in the late summer and early fall, attendance levels in the Disney parks are generally fairly low in September, which means you can experience lots of attractions with little waiting. Disney often offers special money-saving deals in September too, such as a Free Dining Plan with vacation packages, which makes visiting in the fall a bargain.

The weather in September is generally warm. On average the rainiest months at Walt Disney World are June, July and August, so you're more likely to experience rain in the summer than the fall, but September has more rain than other months in the fall, winter and spring. I frequently visit Disney in late September and have never had to deal with rain during those trips, but during other times of year, I've spent part of my vacation in a rain poncho. In my opinion, a rainy day on vacation at Disney World is always better than a sunny day at home working!
