    The Contempary seems like a very nice hotel. What do you think about it? MY main question is, When you are in a room or out inside the hotel can you hear the monorail? Is it loud and obnoxious or annoying?

    I have stayed at the Contemporary twice and shopped or dined there dozens of times. I cannot recall ever have been even distracted by the noise of the monorail. The monorail is remarkably quiet. There is really no engine sound, just sort of a low "whooshing" whispery sound as it enters and leaves the building and this is totally isolated from the guest rooms in the tower. I have never heard of anyone making a negative comment about the sound of the monorail.
