We're considering a vaca to WDW on Feb 13 & would be there on Valentine's Day (Monday). I didn't think it would be a busy time, but my travel ag. said that standard rms are already booked up in our resort of choice. Is V Day week normally really busy?

    Hi Erica,

While the dining at Disney's resort restaurants are usually filled for romantic dinners, the rooms are booked because of the lead into President's Day week.

Because Valentine's Day falls close to the President's Day holiday, many guests with children will visit the Walt Disney World Resort for their vacation so their children do not miss school.

Without knowing what resort you are looking at, you do have some choices. You can book at another resort in the same category or you could book a preferred room at your resort of choice. Then you can ask if you can wait list for the room you want. You can keep trying back to see if a standard room becomes available.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
