I am considering using a Minnie Van for my trip in January. Will they pick me up from my Fort Wilderness cabin or would I have to go somewhere else within the resort?

Hi Cheryl and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m so excited to know that you’re planning a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort with your family and you will be staying at the Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort! It’s my family’s favorite place to stay!

The Minnie Van Service has become one of the most convenient ways to get around at the Walt Disney World Resort! All it takes to request your ride is a quick tap on your Lyft app on your smartphone and before you know it, you will be picked up in an adorable polka dotted Minnie Van. Each vehicle accommodates 6 guests and is equipped with two car seats, for your Mouseketeers. The best part about it, is the courteous and professional service you will enjoy, because the drivers are Walt Disney World Resort Cast Members!

Cheryl, in order to get to your very stylish Minnie Van vehicle on your resort property, you must meet your driver at the Recreation Outpost, or the front building where you check-in to your resort. I spoke to a Cast Member who informed me that drivers will not pick you up at your cabin.

There are so many activities to enjoy at the Fort Wilderness property during your stay! My family really likes to get around the resort in our golf cart. Golf Cart Rentals are available for guests for any length of time during your stay! We pull right up to the marina nightly to enjoy the Electrical Water Pageant- Magic Kingdom Park. You can see the twinkling lights in the Seven Seas Lagoon beginning at 9:45p.m. on most nights.

I hope this information is helpful! Feel free to come back to visit with any other questions you might have. Helping you with the details of your next stay is our pleasure!
