We are considering upgrading to a moderate when we go next fall. At that time our girls will be 7 & 5, the baby will be 1.5. Can you tell me the difference in the square footage from a value to moderate? Considering POR Alligator Bayou.

Hi Trish! The Moderate resorts do give your family a little more elbow room than the Value resorts. The Value resort rooms typically average 260 square feet, whereas the Moderate resort rooms are approximately 314 square feet. In addition to the extra space, the rooms in Alligator Bayou have trundle beds available, which may come in handy for your family of five. My family has stayed at the Port Orleans Riverside and in my opinion, the room is more comfortable than the rooms at the Value resorts and the atmosphere was quieter and more peaceful. One nice feature of the Port Orleans is the ability to travel to Downtown Disney via boat, which gives you lots of dining and shopping options.
