Hi Missy!
Dining at Walt Disney World is one of my favorite vacation activities! In fact, I've been making dining reservations for my Fall trip just this week! The most difficult part of planning is to picking which restaurants to dine at!
While children's dining credits need to be used with the children's menus when a children's menu is offered, there are some creative ways to make our adventurous eaters happy! In general,
buffet and family-style restaurants will offer lots of variety for everyone in your dining party. While these restaurants offer kid-friendly food stations, they also offer great dishes that anyone can try. Two great options, which always top our dining list, are
'Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Resort and
Boma - Flavors of Africa at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. You'll also find that quite a few
quick-service restaurants do not offer specific children's menus, so kids have the full menu to choose from!
At other restaurants, you can also choose to pay for a meal out of pocket, if there are truly no options for your child. Sometimes simply adding an appetizer from the adult menu can really make a difference in your meal!
One other great option for adventurous diners - adult and children alike - is the
EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival. Disney Dining Plan snack credits are often accepted at most of the food kiosks and outdoor kitchens. There are so many delicious options to try during the festival, that we can often eat multiple meals while wandering through World Showcase! While it isn't guaranteed, many festival booths will also allow
Disney Dining Plan participants to exchange a quick service dining credit for up to 3 snack credits. If this is allowed, all 3 snacks need to be used in a single transaction.
I hope this helps! Have a great time planning your Fall vacation, and be sure to visit us again if the Disney Parks Moms Panel can help with any additional details.
