Hi Matthew!
Congratulations on your upcoming trip to
Walt Disney World in May! I was excited when I saw your question because I have visited Walt Disney World with my teenage son, my teenage daughter, and my three teenage nephews and I am thrilled to share tips and tricks that kept them happy and entertained.
There is so much to do and experience for all ages at all of the Walt Disney World theme parks! My favorite park for teens is
Disney's Hollywood Studios. This park has many
thrill rides, including
Rock 'n' Roller Coaster,
Slinky Dog Dash, and
Tower of Terror.
Your son will also love
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge! He won't want to miss
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, which is located in this section of the park.
There are also wonderful entertainment options for teens at Hollywood Studios, such as the
Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular. The food is also great in this park! My favorite is the pizza at
PizzeRizzo.
Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano is also a great table service option here.
I also want to share a little tip that I've used in the past. You can visit the
Attractions and Entertainment page on the Walt Disney World website and filter by "teen" or "thrill ride" (among many other options) to find more attractions that your son may enjoy.
At
Disney's Magic Kingdom he will love
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. EPCOT offers
TestTrack as a thrilling experience. Disney's Animal Kingdom is also full of exciting attractions, such as
DINOSAUR,
Kali River Rapids, and
Avatar Flight of Passage. He also won't want to miss Pandora – The World of Avatar in Animal Kingdom.
You can also bring your son to some of the off-the-beaten-path activities at Walt Disney World, such as playing golf at
Fantasia Gardens, bowling at
Splitsville Luxury Lanes, or watching live music at
Disney Springs.
Magically,
Stacy
