I am considering taking my two children (2 1/2 year old & 6 month old) to WDW while my husband is at a conference in Orlando. Am I crazy? Any tips on how one adult with two small children can make the trip enjoyable for everyone?

    Hi Angie,

I do not think you are crazy at all! All you need to do is a little planning.

First, if you are able to stay at a Walt Disney World Resort, pick a monorail location. This will allow you to push your children in the stroller as you are traveling to the Magic Kingdom or EPCOT. If you are staying off property or another Disney property, you may want to drive to the parks as the bus could be tough trying to juggle children and a stroller.

Use a backpack to keep hands free. You can also store snacks in there in case your 2 1/2 year old gets hungry waiting on line. Also, do not be afraid to ask cast members for help this includes helping you carry your meal from a counter service queue to a table or better yet have a table service meal.

Also, focus on one park a day. It will save you money but not purchasing the hopper option plus you will not be tempted to go to another park to get the value.

Finally, go slow and enjoy the moments. My friend and panelist, Darcie, likes to emphasize the quality of the memories and not the quantity.

    Have a magical trip!
