I am considering taking my college daughter to Disney World right after New Years day. How long are the holiday decorations in place?

    Hi Tammy!

What a wonderful mother you are.  I think a visit to Walt Disney World for your college aged daughter is a practically perfect break from her studies, and a great way for mom and daughter to make memories together.  I hope you have an amazing trip.

I have visited Walt Disney World during the holiday season for almost 15 years of my life.  It truly is the most magical time of the year at the parks, I can see why you wouldn't want to miss the decorations.   In my experience some decorations do start coming down a few days after the New Year.   The past few years I have still been able to see holiday decor during the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend that takes place in mid January.   I am almost certain you will be able to have some holiday magic during your trip.   I can't guarantee this will still be the case in 2019 but for the past few years it has.

I hope this has helped.  If you have any other questions about your upcoming visit, please let me know.  It's always a pleasure to help out a fellow Guest.
