Welcome to planDisney, Rebecca!
We love helping our friends from the Land Down Under, and it sounds like you have a practically perfect springtime adventure ahead!
You’re right in thinking that
Lightning Lane selections can’t be booked from Australia. I confirmed with Guest Services today that international guests, including those from Australia, must be physically in the United States or Canada to purchase and book Lightning Lanes through the
My Disney Experience app.
Because of this, staying at a Disney Resort hotel wouldn’t give you the early booking advantage until you’ve arrived in the U.S. However, once you do arrive, you’ll be able to see what’s available before making your purchase, giving you the flexibility to decide whether Lightning Lane Multi-Pass or Single Pass works for your plans! Also, one perk of staying at a Disney Resort hotel to keep in mind is the
complimentary Water Park admission on your check-in day, which could be a fun way to kick off your trip with a splash!
And since your visit coincides with the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, you may find yourself so enchanted by the topiaries, entertainment, and delicious Outdoor Kitchens that you won’t need as many Lightning Lanes that day! I always make time for the Frozen Desert Violet Lemonade from Pineapple Promenade, and last year, two of my favorites from The Honey Bee-stro were the Chicken & Waffles and the Honey-Mascarpone Cheesecake. They are delicious!
I hope this helps put a little spring in your step, Rebecca! If you have any other questions, remember, we’re all ears!
