Hey Lisa!
Welcome back to
planDisney! We’re so glad you brought another question here to the panel!
It sounds like you’re planning an enchanting stay at the
Happiest Place on Earth! There’s no better place I can think staying than at
Disney’s Grand Floridian Hotel & Spa. I’m sure my fellow panelist
Aena would agree as it’s her absolute favorite resort. It’s definitely on my bucket list of resorts to stay at and if all goes well I'll have my first stay for Christmas of 2021.
I have been following the construction of the walkway from Disney’s Grand Floridian Hotel & Spa to
Magic Kingdom Park. I’ve seen many pictures and videos over the last few months of construction and the ones I saw last week show the bridge as complete. There may be some details here and there but it looks pretty good to go. The signage along the path has been installed as well. I have a friend staying there now and they say it may be opening in the next week. Of course, this is purely speculation and chatter at the hotel. There has been no official date or word released from Disney as to when this will be open and be available to guests. Even so, with how far along construction is, I imagine that the chances are very good for your trip in March. But again as we’ve seen this year, anything can happen. I’d book your room there anyway and look at it as a huge plus if it's open but not count on it until there is an announcement. Even without it, it's a spectacular resort.
Even though I haven’t stayed at Disney’s Grand Floridian Hotel & Spa just yet, it’s ALWAYS a stop on our trip.
Narcoossee's is one of my favorite restaurants on property and I highly recommend it! If you’re looking for something a bit more casual then stop by
Gasparilla Island Grill. It may just be the best quick service on property.
Well Lisa, feel free to check in with us again to see if we have any more updates on the walkway or anything else you may need for your trip.
Remember, always believe in the Magic!
