We are considering a stay at the Beach Club. How do you enter Epcot in the early morning? Are you stuck at security at the International Gateway Entrance until park opening, or do they let you through security early and up to a rope closer to the rides?

Hi, Karen! Disney's Beach Club Resort is my family's favorite place to stay while at Walt Disney World Resort. I do hope you decide to stay at this gorgeous resort because I am sure you will have a splashtastic time there! I have a quick Disney Mom tip for you - be sure to plan a day away from the parks to enjoy the amenities at the resort, especially Stormalong Bay feature pool. Actually, we try to plan at least two pool days when staying at Disney's Beach Club Resort!

Another great reason to stay at this resort is for its location. Having two theme parks within walking distance really makes for easy, simple mornings. When you decide to visit Epcot, just head for the nearby International Gateway entrance. Guests who use this entrance follow similar procedures as those entering at the front of the park. If you watch closely, you will see a Cast Member wait for the "go ahead" call that the park is opening. Everyone at the International Gateway will then be welcomed to go through bag check and scan their theme park ticket. This does go on at the same time as it does at the front of the park, so entering through one entrance point does not put you at an immediate advantage over the other.

That said, I find the walk to Soarin' Around the World and Test Track to be just a tad bit longer from the International Gateway entrance. As long as you "walk with purpose," you should still be able to reach those area right about the same time as those arriving from the front entrance. If you are heading to Frozen Ever After, then the walk there is a bit shorter from your entrance. During one particularly memorable morning, we had a boat to Arendelle all to ourselves since no other guests had made it there yet!

Thank you so much for stopping by with your question, Karen. Please let us know if you have any others as you continue to plan your visit!
