Hi! We are considering a split-stay between the Grand Floridian and the Swan. Is luggage transfer available for this, considering that the Swan/ Dolphin are not Disney owned resorts? Thank you!

    Hi there, Dharma!

Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question.

Oh, how I love a split stay at Walt Disney World Resort! While some may not like the idea of switching resorts, I love being able to enjoy the unique offerings of more than one resort when we visit Disney. With all the wonderful accommodation options available to Walt Disney World guests, why not experience more than one during your vacation?

You've chosen two amazing resorts for your stay in November. Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa is so elegant and beautiful, and so close to Magic Kingdom Park! While you can travel to Magic Kingdom quickly via the Walt Disney World Monorail or the peaceful, breezy walking path, my favorite mode of transportation to the park is by watercraft. There's nothing better than having the wind in my hair as we travel across Bay Lake for a day of magical fun!

The Walt Disney World Swan Hotel is in close proximity to TWO theme parks - EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios. How awesome to be able to get to two of my favorite places with such ease! A quick ride on a FriendShip Boat will take you to either park, but on a nice day I enjoy the walking paths. Not to mention, Disney's Boardwalk is right outside the doors, with awesome dining and entertainment venues to enjoy!

When it comes to a split stay, Bell Services offers luggage transfer services within the Disney Resorts Collection, which includes over 25 Resort Hotels at Walt Disney World. Unfortunately, the Walt Disney World Swan Hotel and the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel are not officially part of the Disney Resorts Collection and are therefore not eligible for luggage transfer from Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa.

If you won't have a personal vehicle with you on vacation, my best suggestion would be to have Bell Services hold your luggage on the day you check out while you explore the theme parks, then arrange for a rideshare service such as Uber or Lyft to help you move to your new location.

I hope this helps with your planning and preparation for your upcoming vacation!
