Welcome, Melissa!
Thanks for bringing your thoughtful question to planDisney – we live for Disney details here, and I understand wanting to think through the logistics for your upcoming split stay. There are so many amazing resort options throughout this sprawling property; I also enjoy trying two different resorts on one vacation and the luggage transfer service makes this a breeze. I have a similar trip coming up where I am moving from a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel to the
Walt Disney World Swan Hotel, so I’ve been in research mode on this topic. Let me share what I’ve discovered with you.
You’ll be pleased to know that yes,
Bell Services at your
Disney Deluxe Resort will transfer your luggage to the
Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel. You just need to inform the Front Desk team of this need or speak directly with Bell Services in advance of this request. They will work with their partners at the nearby hotel for a smooth transition to your next stay. Please know this can take a few hours, so I typically plan to drop off my luggage in the morning and enjoy a busy theme park day knowing my bags will likely be waiting for me by the late afternoon into early evening for my second room reservation. Be sure to have everything you may need for the day with you in your day bag, including swimwear if you desire a midday pool break. When you arrive at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel, please inquire about your luggage as it will not automatically be waiting in your guest room but will be safely stored until your arrival.
The Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel is in such a convenient location, with
easy access by boat or a short walk to both
Disney’s Hollywood Studios and
EPCOT. Its iconic architecture will allow you to gaze out to the expansive views around the Walt Disney World Resort property, with many nearby restaurants and the lively
BoardWalk as your neighbor.
For your split stay, please be sure to have a reminder set for both portions of this vacation 60 days in advance. You may make
dining reservations and
Enchanting Extras Collection reservations at this time, but only for the portion of each stay and not all at once. Not to worry, there should be plenty of availability and many delicious options for you at each of these magical milestones!
It sounds like you have an incredible trip on the horizon, Melissa, and I hope this guidance helps you finalize some logistics for a seamless transition to a new resort midway through. Please let our knowledgeable team at planDisney know how else we can help you maximize the magic on this special stay!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Amy
