We are considering skipping a full day at the park for MNSSHP. Do you think our family of three little ones (9,7,3) would see enough for this to be our second and final magic kingdom day, or would you recommend two full days + the party?

    Hi Catherine!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm so excited to hEAR you will be visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" soon!

Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is my family's favorite Special Event to attend when visiting Walt Disney World Resort and such a fun way to experience Magic Kingdom Park in the fall! We love to trick-or-treat throughout Magic Kingdom Park, see the Disney Characters in their special Halloween attire and enjoy the unique entertainment offerings such as Mickey's "Boo-to-You" Halloween Parade, The Cadaver Dans Barbershop Quartet and the Halloween fireworks spectacular. Be sure to check out the enhancements and debut of “Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular” coming to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in 2019. So fun!

Based on my own personal experience with my four kiddos, I think you should have ample time to experience all that Magic Kingdom Park has to offer by spending one full day there plus attending Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. That being said, I highly recommend watching Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade and Happily Ever After on your regular theme park day as you will not be able to experience them at the Special Event. With little ones, I also recommend that you enjoy a relaxing day at your resort before heading to the party so that they can last throughout the entire event. Historically, Guests have been able to enter Magic Kingdom Park with their Special Event ticket beginning at 4:00 p.m. When I have attended the "not so scary" event with my family, we have always entered the park at 4:00 p.m. in order to enjoy several attractions and grab dinner before the official party begins at 7:00 p.m.

I hope this information is helpful in making the best decision for your family. Let us know if you have any new questions, Catherine. We would love to assist you further in planning a spooktacular trip!
