Hi, I am considering registering for the Princess half marathon in February 2018. Since it starts and ends in Epcot, would I be able to walk to the start point if I stayed at a nearby hotel, like the Boardwalk hotel?

    Hi Jennifer!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Disney Princess Half Marathon was my first half and first runDisney event I ever did, so it holds a special place in my heart!

While courses are always subject to change, the starting line historically has not accessible by foot for any of the Walt Disney World Resort hotels. A bus is required to get to start for all except the those staying on the Monorail. In the past, for the half marathon distance Guests staying at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Disney's Contemporary Resort have been able to take the Resort Monorail to the Transportation and Ticket Center and then hop over to Epcot. Everyone else requires a bus or car to get to the start of the race.

If you do choose to stay at Disney's BoardWalk Inn and you have a park ticket for the day, you will have the convenience of cutting through the park after your race and connecting through the International Gateway to get back. Unfortunately, this entrance is not open for runners to use the morning of the race.

Please let me know if you have any other questions!
