We are considering 2 nights animal kingdom 7 night Disney Cruise 5 nights grand Floridian Is it possible to store extra oversized luggage at the Disney resort whilst on the cruise ? Does Disney have a transfer service from resort to cruise terminal ?

Ahoy, Donna! Welcome back to planDisney! Your message in a bottle has been received.

I'm so excited to hear that you're considering a Disney Vacation Package by Land and Sea! You're surely in for an incredible time as you explore the savannahs at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, then set sail for the high seas on Disney Cruise Line, and end with a stunning stay at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. I would love to help you with the next steps to turn this dream into a reality!

Donna, while there isn't a place to store extra oversized luggage while you're on your cruise, you will have plenty of storage aboard Disney Cruise Line! There is a surprising amount of storage available to you underneath your bed in your stateroom which you will be able to use for any oversized luggage. When my husband and I stayed on the Disney Dream a few years ago, we were able to store all of our luggage with room to spare! This was good news for us since I'm an avid souvenir shopper. What we like to do is pack separate suitcases for the different parts of our vacation; that way, we're only unloading and using one suitcase at a time! You may want to consider separate luggage for your Walt Disney World Resort and Disney Cruise Line vacations, then pack a personal bag filled with your necessities and toiletries. You also don't need to overpack since there are several laundry services available to you while on the ship.

I'm also happy to let you know that ground transportation is available to you to and from your port! The best way to arrange this transportation is to call a Disney Cruise Line specialist at (800) 951-3532 or to send an email to a Cast Member with help regarding your reservation.

For your cruise, please remember to complete your online check-in 30 days prior to your sailing to complete your documents and select a Port Arrival Time. And you'll want to make sure that you download the My Disney Experience app for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, as well as the Disney Cruiser Line Navigator App for your Disney Cruise Line vacation!

If you have any other questions about Disney Cruise Line specifically, I know my fellow panelists Adrianna and Andrew would be more than happy to help you! They're our resident cruising experts and know all the tips, tricks, and details that will make your trip practically perfect in every way.

As my pal Andrew says, "Fair winds and following seas!"
