I am considering a "Keys to the Kingdom Tour" and was wondering where you eat lunch and can you pick the rides that you go on? Also, do you actually go in the tunnels?

    Hi Sherry,

I can't find enough words to describe how much I enjoy the Keys to the Kingdom Tour at Magic Kingdom. There are typically three tours a day, that last around five to six hours. Lunch is usually served at Columbia Harbour House. Upon your arrival at the tour check in station, you will be given a choice of four or so menu choices at Harbour House and will pre-order your selection at that time.

The tour most likely will include two attractions, but they are decided on by your tour guide. I have taken the tour twice and both times experienced Jungle Cruise and Haunted Mansion, but I had never seen them this way before. It was great to have some insider information on thoughts that went into the creation of the attraction and how and why it operates the way it does. The tour begins with a stoll down Main Street and will eventually lead you throughout the majority of the park while taking a look at the history of Magic Kingdom and the Disney family.

We were able to see some back stage areas where the floats are stored and maintained and yes, the tour includes a trip to the utilidors, or as most think of them, the tunnels to Magic Kingdom. I was amazed at the magnitude of this "underground city" and the work that goes on behind stage and under our feet to keep the magic alive at all times.

This is an great tour for those that have always wondered what is really going on behind those Cast Member only signs and those you would love to learn a little more about how the magic is created. I highly recommend the tour to all. Be aware, the tour is extremely popular and does sell out on many dates, so advance tickets can be prurchased by calling 407-WDW-TOUR or 407-939-8687.

    Enjoy!
