Hi Robin!
How exciting that you are considering becoming Disney Vacation Club Members! We have been
Members since 2009 and it has been one of the very best decisions we have made for our family.
One of the ways Disney Vacation Club helps us stretch our vacation dollar, is with the discount on Walt Disney World Annual Passes. Currently, Members are able to purchase Disney Gold Passes, which are available to Disney Vacation Club Members and Florida Residents. Disney Gold Passes have select blackout dates, but are a great choice on a budget. Members also receive a discount on the Disney Platinum Pass and the Disney Platinum Plus Pass.
Members staying on DVC Vacation Points may purchase the Disney Dining Plan. Like standard vacation packages, the Disney Dining Plan must be purchased for the entire length of a reservation. Some Members who only want the Disney Dining Plan for a few days, will book separate back-to-back reservations, and only add the Disney Dining Plan to one of them. As a mom of four, I prefer to use Tables in Wonderland. Available to Disney Vacation Club Members, and currently priced at $150 for the year, Tables in Wonderland saves us 20% at most table service dining at Walt Disney World. We use our kitchen for most meals, but use our Tables in Wonderland card for those special nights out.
I recommend you visit the
DVC website, and contact a Disney Vacation Club Guide who can help you decide if Membership will be a good fit for you. You can take an Open House Tour on your next trip, or even have information sent to your home. Please let me know what additional questions you have about Membership, Robin. We love being Members, and I’m happy to help!
Wishing you Membership Magic!
