Welcome to planDisney, Rhonda, and thanks for cruising by with this great question. My husband and I recently started camping in an RV, and it's the life for me! We've met so many great folks on the road, so let's talk about where you can leave your home-on-wheels while you enjoy some time at
Disney's Art of Animation Resort.
Most
Disney Resort Hotels have a designated area in their parking lots for oversized vehicles belonging to guests registered at the resort. This area is typically off to itself but still in the resort's parking lot. When you check in at the front desk, please tell them you have a camper, and they should tell you where to park it.
I recommend calling
Disney Resort Hotel Reservations a couple of weeks before you arrive so they can note that parking request on your reservation. It never hurts to give them a heads-up! And remember that you can't run a generator in your RV while parked there.
Rhonda, I think you're making a smart choice by staying at Disney's Art of Animation Resort. This whimsically-themed property is one of my family's favorites. My husband enjoys using the
Disney Skyliner so much that it's become a prerequisite for every visit, and Art of Animation is a resort he chooses often. We also like to
stroll around Hourglass Lake when we first arrive; it helps us get our bearings and plan our visit. The paved path encircles the lake and gives a glimpse of
Disney's Pop Century Resort, another family favorite.
I'm sending pixie dust and sway bars so your next
Walt Disney World Resort visit is as smooth as a four-lane highway! Please
stop by planDisney anytime, Rhonda! We'd love to help plan a practically perfect trip for you.
Magic awaits,
Elaine
