Ahoy there, Michelle!
Wow! You have some big Disney vacation plans in your future; thanks for stopping by with another question. I'll be honest, I was a reluctant cruiser when I stepped aboard my first Disney Cruise Line vacation, but now I'm hooked!
I've sailed Disney Cruise Line in winter, spring, summer and fall, and each one is great. My favorite time of the year for a Disney Cruise Line vacation is during the
Very Merrytime Cruises, usually beginning in mid-November through the holidays. The ships are decorated in their holiday finest and there are lots of Christmas touches all around. And you can't go wrong booking your vacation during the spookiest time of the year on one of
Halloween on the High Seas sailings. It is a great time for spellbinding photo ops with your favorite Characters in their not-so-scary-but-oh-so-cute Halloween garb. Next on my list is escaping the colder winter weather and heading somewhere warm and sunny like
Disney Castaway Cay!
I'm glad you asked about dining because you can eat to your heart's content, including lots of healthy options, on a Disney Cruise Line vacation! With
Rotational Dining, Guests visit each of the themed restaurants along with their Dining Service Team. So, by the second night of your cruise, your team will know details such as if you prefer Diet Coke or Coke Zero. Each dining venue has that Disney imaginative flair and warm service you're accustomed to on land. There are lots of snacks to try, too! Did you know you can find pineapple DOLE Whip® and legendary Disney popcorn on a Disney Cruise ship? Well, you can!
While you didn't ask, I know you will want to know about the Broadway-style entertainment offered on each ship and every sailing. As a lover of live entertainment, I don't exaggerate when I say that some of the best stage productions I've seen were on Disney Cruise Line! You won't believe the amazing ways stories are brought to life from classic Disney scenes to new scores written just for Disney Cruise performances. One of my favorites aboard Disney Dream is
The Golden Mickeys, a tribute to my favorite Disney movies. And here's a tip: be sure to get to the Walt Disney Theatre early enough to sit front and center so you can see Tarzan swing across the stage–it is a sight to behold!
I encourage you to check out
the new itineraries offered on the beautiful Disney Cruise Line ships and find one that speaks to you. I have my eye on a cruise aboard one of the new ships,
Disney Treasure, which features some of my favorite classic Disney Parks attractions like Haunted Mansion and Jungle Cruise. From everything I have seen, once you step through the mahogany door of the Haunted Mansion Parlor, you will feel like the plus-one that the 999 happy haunts have been waiting for!
Michelle, it looks like I've run out of space to share more of what I love about Disney Crusie Line vacations, so I hope you will write back for more tips. I'm sailing off into the sunset as my time of helping other Guests here at planDisney comes to a close for a while, but all my friends here will be happy to assist you!
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
