    We're considering coming down in October and heard that the new Be Our Guest restaurant may be open. How far in advance would we be able to book reservations?

    The official opening dates for that restaurant, either as a soft launch or more formal launch, have not been announced. So it is hard to know when they will both be open, as well as when they will start taking reservations. What is certain is that reservations, if they happen in 2012, will probably fall inside of the traditional 180 day window.

    So I am going in October as well. And I am dying to try out this new venue too! I would recommend you do what I am doing;

    1. Call Disney Dining (407-WDW-DINE) once every week or so and ask if they are taking reservations. You might get lucky.
    2. Be prepared for the possibility that it may not be open during your vacation. No need to set yourself up for disappointment
    3. When you are here, presuming you did not get a reservation, make sure you come by the restaurant every day that you are in the Magic Kingdom. Ask a cast member if they are having a soft launch of the restaurant and if you can dine there. Often the soft test phase is not one that is advertised, so they may be looking for guests to try it out, but you would not know if from looking at them.

    By the way, not to be a downer, but I am guessing that the restaurant might not be open until late November. But maybe we will be sitting next to each other, enjoying Belle and her wonderful hospitality!
