Considering Boma for breakfast or dinner. Kids love animals. Is one time of day better than another to view the animals on the savannah at AKL before/after our meal? Thanks!

Hi Lynn! The buffet at Boma has so many unique and tasty foods. It's a great restaurant, and if your kids love animals, a trip to the Animal Kingdom Lodge is a must-do! You'll be able to walk out to the savanna viewing areas before or after your meal to gaze at giraffes, zebras and other African wildlife.

I've stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge many times and the animals are out and active in both the morning and the evening. (There aren't as many around during the middle of the day, but food is usually placed out for them in the morning and evenings, which ensures that guests of the resort will see lots of animals before they go to the park in the morning and when they return in the evening.) I'd recommend that you choose the dining time at Boma that works best for your family. If you won't have access to a car, you may find that it's easier to get to Boma for dinner, since you can just hop on a bus to the Lodge from the park you're visiting that day.

Wishing you a magical vacation! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions. We'd love to help!
