Hi Katie,
Large family trips to Walt Disney World Resort are extra magical because you get to experience the fun with everyone you love! We regularly travel with a large crew and it can be a little bit harder to plan but it is 100% worth it.
Disability Access Service (DAS) is a wonderful service that provides guests who struggle to wait in line for an extended period of time due to a disability, the ability to wait somewhere else that meets their individual needs. This service has undergone a lot of changes this year to optimize the program for the guests who need it most so if you have used it in the past, I recommend reading through the updated
guidance for guests with disabilities. DAS can only accommodate the registered guest and 3 of their immediate family members.
To
register for DAS you will need to participate in a live video chat. During this process, the cast member will determine eligibility, attach members of your party to your DAS access, and answer any additional questions you may have. You can explain your specific situation to them and see if they will allow you to add more than 3 members of your party to the DAS so that the qualified guest can choose who they ride each attraction with. Keep in mind that even if they allow you to add more optional guests to the DAS, you will only be able to choose 4 people to ride together when using DAS.
If you want your whole travel party to ride together, a great option is to have the additional party members utilize the
Disney Genie+ Service or
Individual Lightning Lane Entry. DAS, Genie+, and Individual Lightning Lane Entry will all enter through the same Lightning Lane entrance at each ride or attraction. If 4 members of your party have DAS access at a specific time and the additional 7 have a Genie+ reservation or Individual Lightning Lane reservation at the same time, you can all enter together.
Happy Planning,
Jenna
