Dear Arnetta,
Thank you so much for stopping by to say hello to us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, with your question about planning for connecting rooms!
Connecting rooms are considered a "room request" by the room bookers at
Walt Disney World Resort, so while they will try everything they can to assist you, they are not guaranteed. Also, you will not be able to know if your request has been granted until you check in and receive your room assignments. That can be a bit challenging. If your party has enough adults so that you can be split over multiple rooms with no problem, that shouldn't be an issue. However, if you are traveling with many children who cannot be alone or split up from the group, you might want to consider a different type of room. Some suggestions include family suites, or 2-bedroom villas, for example.
It is still very possible that your room requests will be accommodated, and sometimes if they are not able to accommodate the requests on the first night, for example, they can accommodate them later in your stay. It can sometimes depend on the popularity of the particular Walt Disney World Resort hotel that you have chosen for your stay as well. Some have
many more connecting rooms than others. If for any reason you find yourself unhappy with the rooms that are chosen for you, you can certainly politely speak with the Cast Members and they will try to assist you to make things work for
you, if they are able.
Hope that helps with your magical planning!
