It’s always a delight to see you at planDisney, Lisa! Thanks for stopping by with your excellent question for us.
Disney’s Contemporary Resort is iconic. I could sit and watch the
Disney Monorail running through the A-frame tower all day! And I bet you’ll find your room there absolutely INCREDIBLE (pun intended!). As you may know, the newly remodeled rooms have a sleek monorail motif and our favorite characters from Pixar Animation Studios’ Incredibles films! I squealed every time I noticed anything with Edna Mode and Frozone!
Fun fact: Disney’s Contemporary Resort was one of the two hotels to welcome Guests on October 1, 1971, when Walt Disney World Resort first opened! The other Resort hotel is Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. It has such a deep and rich history; I love exploring it and learning about the Resort hotel while visiting.
Lisa, I recently stayed at Disney’s Contemporary Resort and am happy to report that my room had a connecting door to the room next door. I recommend you call
Disney Resort Hotel Reservations to be sure to request connecting rooms if it’s something you are interested in doing. Because this is only a request, connecting rooms cannot be guaranteed, but Cast Members do their best to meet requests.
You’ll find the
dining at this Resort hotel to be superb! With a fantastic character dining option like Chef Mickey’s and a scrumptious meal at Steakhouse 71, be it breakfast, lunch, or dinner, you just can’t go wrong! I was thrilled to catch the
Electrical Water Pageant at the beach and boat pier during my stay. It is such a sweet and whimsical show, and I hope you enjoy it, as well, during your stay!
Wishing you an enchanting visit, Lisa!
