Hello, Lori! Welcome aboard the planDisney panel! We are so glad that you cruised our way with your question as you prepare to set sail on the
Disney Wonder.
Oh boy, it's about time to sail away! I can't wait for you and your sailing crew to be welcomed aboard for a vacation filled with fun, adventure, and relaxation. I understand the need to keep in touch with the rest of the world outside of the cruise ship, and I'll be happy to provide information on the
internet and phone services that the Disney Cruise Line offers to guests.
Connect@Sea is the provider of wireless internet packages onboard for an additional cost. You can choose from a few different options, based on your perceived usage needs. The following information is from my most recent sailing. Please keep in mind that prices are subject to change without notice. If you'll need to check your email a few times while on board, the package of 100 MB for $19.00 may be the best option for you. The next package offers 300 MB available for $39.00. The largest package is 1000 MB for $89.00. I recommend this larger package for those who want to stay in touch with friends via social media throughout their voyage.
There is usually an opportunity to receive 50 MB of free data if you sign up on the first day of your voyage. I recently sailed on a 4-night itinerary and this amount of data was just right for me to check my emails and make sure I hadn't missed anything that was time-sensitive.
For more great tips on how to maximize your data usage, my fellow Disney Cruise Line panelist Andrew shared some great insights
here.
Be sure to download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app before you set sail this weekend. You'll want to use it during your cruise to view your
dining rotation, dinner menus, and all of the fun activities that will be scheduled for your voyage. You can click the heart icon next to any activities that you don't want to miss, and the app will send you a notification when it is time for the fun to begin.
I wish you an incredible voyage on the Disney Wonder! Say "hi" to Tiana for me when you dine at Tiana's Place. And if you enjoy seafood, the sea bass on the menu there is delicious. Don't forget to top off the evening with some beignet and enjoy the live entertainment!
Bon Voyage,
Adrianna
