Ahoy there, Jessica and welcome to planDisney! Looks like you and your crew are just a few short days from embarking on the adventure of a lifetime on the Disney Fantasy!
While I hope this can be a time where you can look for the "Bare Necessities" and forget about your worries and your strife...and your work emails...and make magical memories with your fellow castaways, I understand sometimes a "Hero's Duty" has to be done! Or maybe you're looking to post all the fun you're having to social media and making your friends SUUUUUUPER jealous. Hey, no judgement here - just be sure to tag Captain Minnie when you see her!
So whether your plans are breaking the internet like Ralph and Vanellope or just staying connected, it's good that you're looking into the
Connect@Sea internet options!
You're definitely plugged-into the data - so to speak - and you're exactly right about the current pricing. Remember this is always subject to change, so be sure to login to the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app when you board in just a few days for the most up-to-date information.
If you'll allow me to do my best KnowsMore impression, there are a few other planDrew-approved tips to remember:
- After logging-in to purchase your package, be sure to check if the free 50 MB is being offered! There have been some vacations where that 50 MB is all I've used!
- You may be on one of the incredible Disney Cruise Line ships, but remember to turn on Airplane Mode so you don't use mobile data when you don't mean to. That's a cellphone bill that nobody would want to come ashore to!
- 1MB may not seem like much data these days, but a 500 page book could fit in that amount of data! If text emails is all you'll be using the data for, you may be surprised at how little you go through!
- When considering which package is right for you, remember that a single 4-megapixel image is 1MB, so if you'll be posting photos to social media, they can add up really quickly!
- Remember those "floppy disks" that inspired the "Save Icon?" Those could only hold 1.44 MB! That means it would take 70 disks to equal the amount of data you can use in the small package!
I hope that was enough of a download for you, Jessica! Whether you decide to "do it for the 'gram," surf the web like it's the EAC, or decide to leave your phone in the safe in your luxuriously-appointed stateroom, I know you're going to have a great time!
Thank you for sailing our way here at planDisney, Jessica! I know you'll be setting off toward the horizon soon, but if you think of any additional questions before you embark, feel free to drop me a line! I wish you and your crew fair winds, following seas, and light data use!
Happy Surfing!
Andrew
